Plaque for Trevor Kershaw unveiled in the Garden of Remembrance

The plaque reads

In Memory of Trevor Kershaw

2/4/1935 – 21/7/2005

For all his dedication to the National Malaya & Borneo Association

Eden Camp and other Services Organisations.

 

 On Sunday 10th September 2006 members of several branches, including Leeds,

Bedale, Doncaster, Lincoln, Nottingham and others, attended a small service at

Eden Camp Malton, North Yorkshire to commemorate the death of a staunch

 Member of the NMBVA, Trevor Kershaw for which a small plaque was erected

and unveiled in the Garden of Remembrance in his memory.

Four Branch Standards were in attendance

 

  Trevor worked tirelessly for the association and organised many events including

  NMBVA day at Eden Camp, which is an annual event also one in Northallerton,

He was instrumental in having a memorial stone erected in the Civic Hall Gardens

Commemorating those who had lost there lives in several conflicts.

 

   Nick Hill, the manager of Eden, said some nice things about Trevor and how he had

Promoted Eden Camp and had been very helpful with other service organisations.

   Trevor will be sadly missed by all who new him and was never more happy when he

was in the”thick of it” always wanting to do something to further the Association
