Former British Military Hospital at "Tanah Rata" in the Cameron Highlands Malaysia.

I believe this is the same stretch of road further up Brinchang town Cameron Highlands.

 

Present & the past (taken Sept 2004) This location is around the golf course which leads to Brinchang Town Cameron Highlands Malaysia. I’m sure it’s the same location, no doubt.

When a party of men from No3 Company RASC visited them in March 1949
We were heavy armed then as it was said the caves were a hideout for the
Communist Terrorists, but we did not encounter any.

Side and rear view showing where there was a massive land slide down on to the road that led up to our living Quarters 
As there was no earth moving equipment in those days it had to be all done by hand by the Public Works Department PWD  mainly male and female Tamils.
