My attention was drawn this weekend to your website by one of your members who is visiting Malaysia and has read my book - Rainforest Tears - A Borneo Story. So enthusiastic was he that he has suggested I write to you to make you aware of the book's accompanying website.

To give you a brief overview, I am a British engineer who has worked in Malaysia since 1990. I wrote my book based on my findings of wartime occurrences in Miri, Sarawak. The book is historical fiction. My publisher, Marshall Cavendish, promised much but delivered little. The book has been taken by Penguin Australia after a friend who is the ex-Australian Secretary wrote a letter of recommendation - attached for your info. Marshall Cavendish have promised to have the book listed with Amazon.co.uk but this has not materialised.

As an interest to yourself, you may wish to visit www.rainforesttears.com. The website is set up to provide a history to events and a guide to Sarawak rather than just a book support. If you enjoy the website I would be very happy if you wished to link to it from your website. Should there be any interest from your members to get a copy of my book I am sure I could work something out.

The book has been submitted for this years Dublin Impac Award. I am currently writing a sequel set during the Malayan Emergency and found the article on your website regarding the History Channel most interesting.

Please do take a look at the website and let me know your thoughts.

Hope you enjoy.

Best Regards
