The 11th Hussars celebrate the 150th anniversary
of the Battle of Balaklava weekend.
 This photo shows three of the lads reminiscing on our days at Paroi Camp.Seremban . Malaya.
The fellow in the middle is Fred Hodges, enlisted as a Trooper and left as a Major, he has always remained 'One of the boys!'
It shows two 11th Hussars at the Combined Cavalry Parade in Hyde Park on May the 8th, John Plumb & Jack
I had the good fortune to lead the parade this year with 2,300 Old Comrades behind me.
I had to stand on the saluting dias next to HRH Prince Charles & Camilla, never will live that one down.

Our memorial was demolished last year to make way for the causeway that leads to the new Armed Forces Memorial at Alrewas.

After a battle spurred on by the Daily Mail the AFM Trustees decided that they would foot the bill and build us a new one and glad to say they have made a good job of it.

My dads badges, as you will notice he kept his 4th hussar rank badge, i believe it is very rare to keep it. I have never seen another one apart from in photos. It is his original cap badge and silver rank badge, which has seen service in Malaya, and been on many patrols. I bet they could tell a story or two!
