WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL MALAYA & BORNEO VETERANS ASSOCIATION

The Association is part of a worldwide network.

Membership is open to all who served in Her Majesty's Forces, the Commonwealth Forces, the Royal Federation of Malaya Police, the Civil Service, Saint John Ambulance and Auxiliary Forces during the Second World War, The Malayan Emergency and the Borneo, Indonesian Confrontation and thereafter.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To bring together in true comradeship those who have served in Malaya, Borneo, Singapore and Brunei during the Second World War, the Malayan Emergency, The Confrontation and thereafter in the above countries.

To assist Members in their time of need.

To remember with pride, respect and gratitude those of all nationalities who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and to ensure that those who fell and that the Association is represented on the day of Remembrance at Home and Abroad.

To promote the Association and its Aims throughout the Commonwealth of Nations and other Nations and to seek Affiliations with similar Organisations.

To strengthen our ties with Malaysia, The Republic of Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.

To hold a Annual Reunion.

Come along to the Merdeka Carnival 2010 at Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre, Brickendonbury, Hertfordshire, SG13 8NL This event is organised by the High Commission and the Malaysian Community.

Would any member have a copy of the wanted poster for Azahari and his pals that as circulated through Brunei in 1962-1963 If I remember correct they were on yellow paper and showed about 10 of the Rebels and the price on their head. I did have one but over passage of time it has disappeared. Would appreciate if you could put word out (maybe on your web) would be very greatfull PETE ALDOUS

TRAFALGAR SQUARE 'EMPTY PLINTH'

UK National Defence Association has come up with the innovative proposal that the 'empty plinth' in Trafalgar Square should be dedicated permanently as a commemorative memorial to the services and sacrifices of our brave Armed Forces in Iraq & Afghanistan. A petition to the Prime Minister is now on the Internet for your attention and, hopefully, signature.
