Cheras Road Christian Cemetery

I've known there's a British war grave situated in Kuala Lumpur but have never visited it before. Coincidentally, my brother who passed away some 3 years ago  has been interred at the same Cheras KL cemetery across the War graves. Its today that I made a special purpose visit there.

Armed with a digital camera, I took some pictures of this historic site just today before it rained, and now have quite a number of pictures which may interest you. Attached herewith are a couple of pics for any purpose you deem fit.  I'm happy to say that the War graves annex is in super condition and very well maintained. I believe some of the headstones have been renewed of late. May God bless them all as they defended my fatherland against the enemy.

The Grave of Richard Doherty
Was the 6 year old son of Major John B Doherty
ACC  Army Catering Corps.
and is buried in row 35  Grave No1320

 

Grave of His Excellency Sir Henry Gurney, High Commissioner of Malaya from 1948 till his murder in 1951 by the Communists.
