Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo

After much deliberation is has been decided that the 2012 Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo will not run.  This is very much a postponement only and plans for 2013 are already in full swing.

In the traditional evening slot the Tattoo has for the last four year’s occupied, there will be a Pageant (10th, 11th and 13th May 2012) in celebration of Her Majesty The Queens 60 years as Sovereign.

Our intention was very much to run the Tattoo a week later after the Pageant.  However with the commitments and enormity of 2012, it was decided that the full Military effort should be concentrated on the Pageant in Her Majesty’s special year.

The Diamond Jubilee Pageant will take place on the evenings of 10th, 11th and 13th May 2012 in Her Majesty’s private grounds of Windsor Castle.  Visitors will be treated to a spectacular journey around the world, reflecting The Queen’s state and commonwealth visits during the course of her reign.  Starting from London the journey goes West visiting The Americas, Australasia, Asia, The Middle East, Africa, Europe and finally Great Britain.

At each stop indigenous dancers, musicians, military personnel and horsemen will join together in a scene full of movement, colour and sound that culminates in a spectacular demonstration of the culture of their country.  We very much hope that you will join us in the celebrations and be part of the Pageant.

Tickets will be on sale from 9am on Tuesday 1st November.  There are 3,000 public tickets available for each performance and we expect demand to be high, so be amongst the first to book your tickets.  Call Ticket Factory on 0844 581 4970 or book online at www.diamond-jubilee-pageant.com.  Please be advised that the full Diamond Jubilee Pageant website will be live on 31st October 2011.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for your support and commitment shown to our troops over the last four years, and we look forward to the 2013 Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo.
