I have received via my opposite number in AUSTRALIA the following news, which is as follows:-

The Australian High Commission - Kuala Lumpur has received this information from the Ministry of Urban Development and Tourism, Sarawak, that they will be holding a 'Memorial Service for Veterans in Defence of Malaysia' on 7 November 2009 at KUCHING, Sarawak, East Malaysia. They have requested we pass-on their invitation to Veterans to participate in the event.

Could you please do your best to ensure Veterans and other interested people are informed of the service; in particular, could you please arrange for the other Malaya-Borneo Veterans groups to be appraised of the service.
